Connect anything.
Integrate everything.

Our platform is the hub — but the real power is in what connects to it. We bridge heterogeneous sensors, industrial protocols, legacy systems, and modern cloud APIs into a single unified view. No matter the field device, no matter the vendor, no matter the protocol.

MQTT · REST · Webhooks · SCADA · BACnet

Open integration layer.
Any system. Any protocol.

No proprietary lock-in. No vendor walls.

Flow-Based Integration Engine Ingest sensor data from any source via MQTT, HTTP, WebSocket, or direct serial bridge. Transform, enrich, and route it in real time to any downstream system — SCADA, ERP, council asset databases, cloud APIs, email, SMS, or Teams. If it has an interface, we connect to it. Runs at the edge or in the cloud.
Industrial Protocol Bridge Native support for Modbus RTU/TCP, RS485, SDI-12, BACnet/IP, M-Bus, OPC-UA, and 4–20 mA loops. We pull data directly from PLCs, drives, meters, and legacy field instruments — no middleware PC, no proprietary gateway subscription. Field devices talk their native language; the platform understands all of them.
Wireless Network Agnostic LoRaWAN for remote low-power sensors, NB-IoT or LTE-M for wide-area mobility, Wi-Fi and Ethernet for buildings, BLE for short-range asset tags. Mix and match radio technologies on a single platform — all assets visible in one unified map, regardless of the network they use to connect.

Intelligence & Analytics

From raw data
to real decisions.

Rules, analytics, and intelligence that act.

Threshold alerts are just the start. Our rule engine correlates data across multiple assets and sensors — detecting compound conditions, triggering automated actions, and escalating through your preferred notification channels. No code required for most logic; full scripting available for the rest.

For operations that need deeper insight, we layer in time-series analytics, trend detection, consumption forecasting, and anomaly identification across your entire fleet of assets — giving decision-makers the information they need before problems escalate.

Rule engine & automation Multi-asset correlation Anomaly detection Consumption forecasting Trend & pattern analysis Predictive maintenance SMS / email / Teams alerts Scheduled reporting Custom scripting (JS / Groovy) Embeddable dashboards
Heterogeneous Integration · Any Sensor. Any Protocol. One Platform.

SDI-12 water quality + Modbus drives + 4–20 mA pressure —
all on one wireless gateway, all in one dashboard.

Most IoT platforms are built around a single protocol or vendor ecosystem. We designed ours differently — every deployment we deliver is a mix of sensor types, communication standards, and field devices from different manufacturers. That heterogeneity is a feature, not a problem.

A single Milesight UC501 can simultaneously read an SDI-12 water quality probe, a 4–20 mA pressure transducer, and a pulse-output flow meter — all over one LoRaWAN uplink. Add a UC300 for Modbus RS485 to industrial drives or meters on the same site. Every reading lands in the same asset model, the same dashboard, the same alerting engine.

Embed custom rules and automation scripts directly in the platform — from simple threshold alerts to complex multi-asset workflows, no external services required.

Milesight Impact Awards 2025 Finalist

Smart Fire Tank Monitoring for Bushfire Preparedness

City of Busselton, Western Australia

The City of Busselton is a fast-growing municipality covering a large area of farming, native forest, and residential zones. With increasing bushfire risks following heavy rainfall, the City required real-time visibility of distributed firefighting water tanks to strengthen emergency preparedness — without the cost and complexity of individual cellular connections at each site.

1
Limited Operational Visibility

Firefighting tanks were distributed across a wide geographic area with no centralised, real-time water level monitoring.

2
High Manual Inspection Effort

Routine on-site inspections were required to verify tank readiness, driving high operational workload and costs.

3
Risk of Water Loss & Tampering

Leakage, theft, or tampering could not be detected in time, potentially compromising firefighting readiness.

4
Reliable Connectivity Across Diverse Terrain

Coverage was needed across rural, forested, and residential areas without individual cellular connections per tank.

42 × EM500-SWL Submersible Sensors Provide real-time water level readings from every firefighting tank across the network.
1 × EM500-CO₂ Outdoor Sensor Monitors CO₂ levels to identify early signs of potential fire activity in the surrounding environment.
8 × UG65 & UG67 LoRaWAN® Gateways Deliver long-range, low-power wireless connectivity — eliminating the need for a cellular SIM at each tank location.
Global-IoT Cloud Platform Centralises all sensor data with remote monitoring, automated alerts, and workflow automation for tank refills and leak investigation.
Improved Visibility

Near real-time, centralised visibility of all tanks across a wide geographic area.

Faster Emergency Response

Automated alerts enable earlier identification of low levels before emergencies escalate.

Reduced Operational Costs

Eliminated routine manual inspections — all monitoring consolidated into a single platform.

Enhanced Bushfire Resilience

Firefighting water supplies are continuously monitored and always ready when needed.
